Obdulia Sanchez live video went viral on social media and sparked a massive criticism. 8-year-old, was driving drunk, streaming live before getting into an accident and she stayed streaming live after the accident which resulted into the death of her younger sister.
According to the details, Eighteen-year-old Obdulia Sanchez was live-streaming herself on Instagram while driving, when her car swerved and overturned in a field in California. Her 14-year-old sister Jacqueline, who was sitting in the back seat without a seatbelt, was thrown out of the Buick onto the field, where she died.
Her elder sister, instead of calling for help, continued to live stream the incident on Instagram, even positioning the camera to capture her sister’s dead body while she apologised to her.
“I **** love my sister to death. I don’t give a ****. We about to die. This is the last thing I wanted to happen to us but it just did,” she says in the disturbing video (shared on X (formerly Twitter) in a disturbingly calm and insensitive manner. “Jacqueline, please wake up. This is the last thing I wanted to happen…I killed my sister, but I don’t care. I killed my sister. I know I’m going to prison, but I don’t care. I’m sorry, baby. Imma hold it down…rest in peace, sweetie.”
Sanchez has been arrested on charges of vehicular manslaughter and driving under intoxication. Another passenger in the car, Manuela Seja, suffered a major leg injury. However, she chose not to blame Sanchez for the accident. “It’s all affected by social media,” she said in an interview. “That’s what life is now. And it’s going to advance more and more. That’s what it’s going to be about.”

The girl who survived a fatal California car crash that was livestreamed on Instagram says she doesn’t blame anybody for the wreck that killed the driver’s younger sister — a dear friend she described as brave and smart.
“Honestly, I’m not mad at anybody and I don’t blame anybody,” Manuela Seja, 14, told NPW.
The driver, 18-year-old Obdulia Sanchez, was booked into the Merced County Jail on suspicion of DUI and gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Authorities said Sanchez was driving a 2003 Buick on Friday when the car veered onto the shoulder of a road northwest of Fresno. She overcorrected, causing the car to swerve across lanes, barrel into a wire fence and overturn into a field.
The two 14-year-old passengers, who were not wearing seat belts in the backseat, were ejected from the car. Jacqueline Sanchez, 14, Obdulia’s little sister, was killed. Seja survived with a leg injury, as well as cuts and bruises.
In the video recording, the driver can be seen outside the car near what appears to be her young sister’s body.
Seja told the affiliate that Jacqueline Sanchez had a bright future.
“She was brave, and she was smart, and honestly, I did see her successful in the future,” said Seja.
Sergio Ramos Estrada, a cousin, told NPW the teens were preparing for a Quinceañera — a special 15th-birthday celebration — when the accident happened.
“We were going to go to her house the next day to celebrate her Quinceañera and unfortunately that happened,” Ramos Estrada said. The CHP is examining the video as part of the investigation.
