Grammys boss addresses Kanye West and Bianca Censori’s nude stunt | Celebrity News | Showbiz & TV

A Grammys producer has defended the event’s dress code amid controversy over Bianca Censori’s revealing outfit. Kanye West and his wife Bianca shocked onlookers at the Grammy Awards when Bianca shed her fur coat to unveil a completely see-through dress, leaving little to the imagination as she wore no underwear.

Following the incident, there were rumours that the couple had been removed from the ceremony by disgruntled organisers, and some speculated they might face legal consequences for indecent exposure.

Amidst the furore, a top producer for the 2025 Grammy Awards has spoken out about the event’s attire expectations.

Raj Kapoor explained that while attendees are advised to don “artistic black tie”, interpretations vary in the music world.

Speaking to People, he said: “Obviously there is a dress code for anybody actually performing on the show that we have to adhere to standards and practices.”

He added: “But as far as people attending and nominees attending, that would be something the [Recording] Academy [presents the Grammys] would have to answer,” reports the Mirror.

Speculation abounds that Bianca’s daring fashion choice was a tribute to Kanye’s 2024 album cover, Vultures. Kanye himself later shared an image of the dress, captioning it: “The invisible dress.”

He then declared: “For clarity February 4th 2025 My wife is the most Googled person on the planet called Earth.”

The rapper didn’t hold back as he boasted: “We beat the Grammies.”

His remarks appeared to take a swipe at his former wife Kim Kardashian, renowned for her significant social media influence. During their marriage, Kim frequently captured global attention with her bold fashion statements.

Kanye also disclosed the unabashed true motive behind his wife’s nude appearance on the red carpet. On Instagram, Kanye unveiled a new women’s wear line for his Yeezy brand, featuring an outfit Bianca sported on Grammy night as the first item available for purchase.

He introduced the “first women’s piece” with an Instagram post, sharing an image of a black thong bodysuit, identical to what Bianca donned at the Grammy’s afterparty.

Despite speculation that the couple might face legal consequences for their actions, insiders from the Los Angeles Police Department told TMZ on Monday that no formal complaints had been lodged by attendees at the Crypto.com Arena on Sunday night.

They also noted that the annual awards ceremony is a private event.

“While Ms. Censori’s outfit undoubtedly pushed the envelope, a charge of indecent exposure in California requires willful public exposure of one’s genitals with the specific intent to offend or sexually arouse,” LA-based attorney Andrea Oguntula explained to Page Six.

“It’s theoretically possible but unlikely she’ll face any criminal prosecution for this incident,” Oguntula further remarked, pointing out that the final call rests with the district attorney’s office.
