Catherine Zeta-Jones is proof that elegance is a way of life. The Chicago and No Reservations star has always exuded sophistication on and off film. Her timeless style has graced the most important red carpets in the world. But the true proof of class? She looks like a Hollywood movie star even at the airport.
Here at Harper’s Bazaar we’ve been tracking for some time the return to luxury in travel. We may no longer see the pristine tweed skirt suits and heels of the ’50s and ’60s in the security line, but we refuse to go back to the more recent era of frumpy sweatsuits, slippers, and messy hair. With their latest airport looks, stylish stars like Angelina Jolie, Elle Fanning, Jennifer Lawrence, and Zeta-Jones are proving what we already knew: Elegance in travel is back.
This Tuesday, Zeta-Jones was spotted strolling through New York City’s JFK Airport in a luxurious chocolate-brown double-breasted coat and a matching wide-brim hat. She wore loose but structured black trousers, sleek black sneakers, and an airy ivory scarf with a swirly brown pattern wrapped delicately around her neck.
The actor carried a brown leather briefcase in the same shade as her coat, as well as a black tweed-and-leather Chanel crossbody bag with silver buttons emblazoned with the house’s CC logo. She was also seen rolling a black carry-on bag, showing that she is not only the chicest, but also the most practical traveler.
Zeta-Jones wore inky-black cat-eye sunglasses and small dangly earrings, capping off her look with a pink lip and a glossy black manicure.
