When it comes to the Super Bowl, some moments happen on the field, and some happen before the game even starts. For Adam Sandler and Jason Kelce, it was the latter.
On Sunday, February 9, the two were caught on camera sharing a heartfelt exchange. Sandler, 58, threw his arms around the 37-year-old retired Eagles center, giving him a big hug and a pat on the back. The two chatted briefly, laughing before the 50 First Dates actor said, “Alright buddy, I love you,” and walked off.

Once the footage made its way online, people couldn’t get enough of it.
“2 of the greatest humans alive ❤️,” one person wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
“Ultimate buddy cop movie right here,” another joked.
“What a good vibe the two of them give me together,” a third chimed in.
“That’s really wild to see,” someone else pointed out.
“Two Legends right there 🤝,” another added.
The interaction comes after an emotional moment for Kelce earlier in the day. During ESPN’s pre-game coverage, the former NFL star reflected on the tragic New Orleans terror attack that took the life of Tiger Bech, 28, and left Ryan Quigley, 26, seriously injured among others.
“Yeah, listen, there’s some awful people in this world,” Kelce said.
Quigley, who survived the attack, was invited to the Super Bowl to honor his late best friend. “On one end, something terrible can happen, and on the other, something so beautiful can happen,” the Super Bowl champ added. “Just happy that he’s going to be here on behalf of Eagles fans everywhere.”
Meanwhile, the Caesars Superdome was packed with celebrities ahead of kickoff, including Taylor Swift — Jason’s brother Travis Kelce’s girlfriend — along with Jay-Z, Paul Rudd, and Bradley Cooper.
