Harrison Ford may have the same last name as a particular car brand, but he is a Jeep man.
The 82-year-old legendary actor starred in a Super Bowl 2025 commercial for Jeep that aired on Sunday, February 9.
The ad began with the Star Wars actor in a log cabin lamenting that “life doesn’t come with an owner’s manual” and showcased black and white clips of Jeeps being driven in war. Ford narrated, “Freedom is for everybody. But it isn’t free. It’s earned.”
The camera then cut back to the Golden Globe Award winner and zoomed in on an old picture of him on a movie set as he explained, “There are real heroes in the world, but not the ones in the movies.”

The Indiana Jones star added, “The most sacred thing in life isn’t the path: It’s the freedom to choose it.”
He then delivered a familiar line saying, “So, choose, but choose wisely,” referencing Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, where Grail Knight says to Jones, “You must choose but choose wisely.”
The Blade Runner actor also made light of his last name in the ad, saying, “This Jeep makes me happy…even though my name is Ford.”
The two-minute Super Bowl spot was posted on YouTube, and fans took to the comment section to rave about it.
“That commercial was an absolute mic drop. Best car-related Super Bowl commercial I’ve seen in years,” one fan wrote. “Well done getting Harrison Ford involved, bravo Jeep.”
A second person commented, “‘Choose wisely…’ Great homage to The Last Crusade and Lucas’ dog Indiana. Mentioning real heroes using Jeeps was moving. Fantastic ad! I’d consider a Jeep.”
“I only watched the SB for the ads; and as a Willys owner as well as a big Indiana Jones fan, this knocked it sooo far out of the park,” another individual penned. “Such a pleasant surprise!!! Loving Jeep is a heritage…… and connecting Harrison to it, spans even wider. Well done 🫶.”
