Most people misplace their keys or forget leftovers in the fridge. Isla Fisher? She accidentally held onto a wedding gift that was meant for Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston — 25 years later, she still has it.

“I found a vase in my kitchen, I turned it upside down and it said, ‘Brad and Jen, Happy Wedding!'” the 49-year-old Now You See Me actress told British newspaper The Times in an interview published Saturday, February 8.

Fisher, who resided in Aniston’s empty Hollywood home “in the mid-noughties” with her now-estranged husband Sacha Baron Cohen, has no idea how the vase ended up in her possession. “Somehow, when I left her house, I took that vase. So I have to get it back to her. It’s beautiful,” she added.

After going on their first official date at some point in 1998, the 55-year-old Friends icon and Pitt, 61, said their “I do’s” in July 2000, but by January 2005, they announced their split.

“We would like to announce that after seven years together we have decided to formally separate,” the pair said in a joint statement at the time. “For those who follow these sorts of things, we would like to explain that our separation is not the result of any of the speculation reported by the tabloid media. This decision is the result of much thoughtful consideration.”

As for Fisher and Aniston, the two have been friends for years. They worked together on the 2013 film Life of Crime and have been photographed at events together, including the 2015 Vanity Fair Oscars afterparty, where the Marley & Me star was spotted kissing Fisher’s baby bump while she was expecting her youngest son, Montgomery.

Beyond the wedding gift surprise, Fisher also opened up in the interview about her own recent life changes. After 20 years together, she and Cohen, 53, announced their separation in April 2024.

“It’s the most difficult thing that I’ve been through and I’ve learnt so much about myself in the process,” she told the outlet. “I never imagined my family being separated but we are committed and loving parents.”

In addition to Montgomery, 9, the exes share daughters Olive, 17, and Elula, 14.
