Meryl Streep’s eldest daughter, Mamie Gummer, filed for divorce from her husband, Mehar Sethi, on Thursday after six years of marriage, Page Six can confirm.
The “Good Wife” alum cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split.
She listed their date of separation as May 6, 2023, in her petition.
The “Separation” actress is seeking joint legal and physical custody of their son, Peter, 5, and daughter, Mary, 3, and requested spousal support from the screenwriter.
Gummer, 41, and Sethi, 42, tied the knot in February 2019.
She was previously married to actor Benjamin Walker from 2011 to 2013. He went on to wed actress Kaya Scodelario in 2015 before they went their separate ways in 2024.
The news of Gummer’s second divorce comes more than a year after Page Six exclusively reported that her parents, Streep and Don Gummer, had quietly separated.
Streep’s rep confirmed to us at the time that the Oscar winner, 75, and Don, 78, had split six years prior but never announced it.
Although Streep had been seen wearing her wedding band as recently as 2023, she and the sculptor were last photographed together at the 2018 Oscars.
The former couple married in 1978 after meeting just months before.
In addition to Mamie, the “Mamma Mia!” star and Don share three other children: singer-songwriter Henry Wolfe, 45, and actresses Grace Gummer, 38, and Louisa Jacobson, 33.
Since her breakup, rumors have swirled that Streep is now dating her “Only Murders in the Building” co-star Martin Short.
Despite being spotted out to dinner and holding hands on red carpets, the two have maintained that they are just friends.
