What Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift Were Like During L.A. Dinner Together

Longtime friends Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift did indeed go out together on Tuesday night. After a bartender for Beverly Hills’ Negroni Caffe Bar posted on Threads about serving them, a restaurant spokesperson confirmed to Page Six that, yes, the two A-list stars were there that night in a booth by the bar. (They were joined only by their security guards.) Gomez and Swift enjoyed entrées and one to two drinks each. They “tipped very generously,” Page Six learned.

“They were very sweet, giggly with each other and having fun,” the spokesperson said.

Swift and Gomez weren’t bothered by any attention on them as they dined. “[They were] able to relax and enjoy themselves without feeling like anybody was intruding their privacy,” the rep detailed, adding they were “very kind and conversational” with the restaurant’s team. “They were open to talking to us and not brushing us off, so that was really nice to see.”

Gomez, in particular, was very encouraging to one worker who “just recently moved to L.A.,” the rep said. Gomez “had a really great conversation with him about how his experience is here. He’s also trying to become an actor, so she was very motivational.”

On Threads, bartender Wyatt Heath wrote about making drinks for Gomez and Swift. He said that Gomez and Swift were very “down-to-earth, sweet, and just happy for the amazing service.”

“I can’t believe I got to serve The London Boy to Taylor Swift herself!” Heath added. “Life is such an amazing experience. Halsey once said,‘“Don’t meet your hero’s [sic], they’re all fucking weirdos.’ But she was wrong. I got to meet my idol and she was as kind as she is stunning!”

He said he made them “The London Boy and The Lonely Muse” cocktails, but added that “Taylor did prefer the Negroni house cocktail, The Cacao Old Fashion!”

Swift was in Los Angeles for the Grammys, which took place last Sunday, during which she presented the Best Country Album award to Beyoncé. Her dinner with Gomez is the first confirmed sighting of her being out this week.

This coming Sunday, Swift’s boyfriend, Travis Kelce, will play in the Super Bowl in New Orleans. Gomez is one of the friends that Swift is rumored to have invited to join her for the game.

Gomez, for her part, is continuing her awards season run in the city. Tonight, she is nominated for Best Song at the Critics Choice Awards, and her project Emilia Pérez is up for Best Picture.
