Selena Gomez has never attended a Kansas City Chiefs game with Taylor Swift. Despite rumors otherwise, tonight didn’t change that. The actress opted to stay put rather than fly to New Orleans to join her longtime friend and cheer on Swift’s boyfriend, Travis Kelce, during the 2025 Super Bowl.
Swift arrived in New Orleans on Friday. She is with Ice Spice, Ashley Avignone, and the Haim sisters in her Super Bowl suite.
Gomez, meanwhile, was photographed out on Friday in Disneyland with her fiancé, Benny Blanco. The couple, despite being in the L.A. area, did not attend the Critics Choice Awards that evening.
Gomez also skipped the Grammys last Sunday, where Swift presented Beyoncé the Country Album of the Year award.
The two friends did have a reunion on Tuesday, however. They went out to Beverly Hills’ Negroni Caffe Bar. A spokesperson for the restaurant told Page Six the two stars “were very sweet, giggly with each other and having fun.”
“[They were] able to relax and enjoy themselves without feeling like anybody was intruding their privacy,” the rep added. They left a good impression on the restaurant’s staff as well, as the friends were “very kind and conversational” with them. “They were open to talking to us and not brushing us off, so that was really nice to see,” the spokesperson said.
Gomez and Swift first became friends in 2008. In 2020, Gomez spoke about how much of their relationship they’ve kept to themselves during a WSJ magazine interview.
“There’s so much of my friendship with Taylor that people don’t know about because we don’t necessarily feel the need to post about everything we do,” Gomez stated. “She has showed up for me in ways that I would have never expected. Flown in because I was hurt and was going through something. Stuff that was going on with my family. It’s been proven year after year and in every moment of my life that she is one of my best friends in the world. We don’t agree on everything, but we respect each other with everything.”
