Colion Noir, a gun rights activist and lawyer who has appeared in a number of National Rifle Association videos and podcasts, had some words of advice to men involved in a relationship with women who oppose having firearms in the house.
“Fellow, if a woman you are dating or married to ever says this to you, send her back to the streets immediately because she is going to get you and your family killed,” Noir cautioned.
He shared a video clip of a young woman being presented with a hypothetical situation where her husband is going up against five home invaders, in which she had the option of the fictional mate fighting back with his fists or a gun and she chose fists.
I couldn’t help but address a woman’s statement that left me astounded. She doesn’t want her husband to have a gun because home invaders shouldn’t die just for coming into your home.

“I don’t want them dying if they’re just coming into my house,” the female said, upon receiving pushback.
When presented with the possibility that the intruders may rape her after killing her fictional husband, she blew right by that scenario by saying she wasn’t thinking that they would kill him.
“Just because you invade somebody’s home doesn’t mean you’re going to kill them,” the stupidly naïve young woman added.
Fortunately, states like Florida remove the guesswork with laws that say a reasonable fear of imminent death, danger, or bodily harm exists when someone unlawfully enters a dwelling or residence, presuming that the intruder is doing so with the intent to commit a crime that involves force or violence — which means you have the right to shoot the intruder without warning.
“So let me get this straight, someone breaking into someone’s home is not extreme,” Noir said, “but someone using a gun in self-defense against five people who broke into your home to beat you to death — that, that, that is extreme?”
“The unmitigated gall of someone who expects you to put your life on the line to protect their life telling you that you can’t use a gun to do it,” he added.
Noir had plenty of company in his stance… here’s a quick sampling of responses to the story, as seen on Twitter:
Getting shot is an occupational hazard of being a felon. Just goes with the job.

I don’t want a fight in my home against intruders to be “fair”. I want every advantage I can get.

I have two Rottweilers over 100 lbs each. About 220 collectively.
They are a first line of defense with me backing up the rear. Any home invasion is going to be met with fierce opposition and everything I can bring to bear.
The cupcake in the video can’t imagine violence.

Not only does my wife want me to fend off an intruder with my gun but would certainly use hers if the need arises. This woman would watch her kids get taken away and do nothing. I don’t understand it at all

If a criminal break into your house and you are there and they don’t run; they are prepared for you, and it isn’t good, for you.
So be prepared for them and do whatever is necessary to protect yourself and your family.
