Timothée Chalamet interviewed Super Bowl halftime performer Kendrick Lamar ahead of the big game in New Orleans and revealed he had never been to the Louisiana city. But the actor didn’t make it there tonight nor did his girlfriend, Kylie Jenner; neither was spotted in the Caesars Superdome.
Instead, Chalamet was photographed in Tokyo yesterday. It would be a 14-hour-plus flight for him to travel from Japan to New Orleans.
He did share the second part of his Lamar interview on Instagram today, so the game was on his mind:
Jenner, meanwhile, posted photos of her outfit on her Instagram Story:
Had the couple attended, it would’ve been their second major sporting event. They also went to the US Open in September 2023.
Chalamet skipped the Critics Choice Awards on Friday. He was photographed arriving in Tokyo on February 2.
Jenner and Chalamet haven’t shared much publicly about their relationship. In ELLE’s November issue, Jenner spoke about why she won’t talk about her love life. “I think it’s important to keep things to yourself,” she stated. “It’s hard for me to make a decision by myself sometimes, so the opinion of the whole world…it can be tough.”
At the end of January, a source spoke to Us Weekly about the couple’s future after dating for about two years. Jenner would marry the actor someday, but they “are in no rush,” the insider shared.
“This is a very different relationship dynamic than what Kylie is used to,” the source added. “[It’s] opened her eyes to the more artistic side of the industry.”
The insider shared that Jenner loves going to events with Chalamet. “Timothée is very focused on his career, and Kylie loves being on the sidelines cheering him on,” the source said. “She loves that he’s in the spotlight more than her. It’s been a breath of fresh air.”
